Bah! Woo! *Thunk*
May. 6th, 2006 09:20 pmBah!
2 weeks off a diet screws eveything up. I'm *sure* I have to overeat by a lower percentage of my daily needs to gain weight than I do undereat to lose it. Apparently the laws of physics don't apply in my stomach. I wouldn't mind so much, if chocolate & crisps & pizza weren's all so filling, while fruit & veg leaves me prowling round the kitchen, growling for more, an hour later. At least I'm back on track - after the Edinburgh and Norfolk weekends & the bathtub-full of booze I got through (not to mention the Irn Bru & chocolate &
nannyo's very moreish cooking) I've got back to the weight Iwas *before* all that. Only another 15lbs to go... *eyeroll*
Woo!
I start the Great Manchester Run at 11.15. This menas I don't have to get up before 8.00. This is a Good Thing. It also means that, should I manage it in 1 1/2 hours (my aim, since I was *totally* out of shape & unable to move faster than a walk 2 months ago), I'll be finished just in time for lunch.
Thank you to everyone who's sponsored me. I really do appreciate it.
*Thunk*
Doctor Who. Of course. Clockwork brain lust (hell, yes), the best-looking Companion yet (the horse, natch, and doesn't Tennant have a good seat?), more of Rose realising that she's Not That Important, and My Fair Lady singing :) I did like how the Doctor was all OMGFanboy! about Mme. de Pompadour, too.

I've done precisely Very Little today. My hair's back to it's proper colour (insead of having an inch of root), I've been to Tesco's, washed up, watched Doctor Who and had a nap. One of the nicest bits about Norfolk was not being the only person to need a rest in the afternoon. I felt less crap, which was a refreshing change.
